Kanadski košarkaš Dilan Enis podelio je na društvenim mrežama zanimljivo iskustvo.

On je napravio niz od nekoliko saveta igračima koji odlaze van SAD-a.

Njemu su Mega i Crvena zvezda bili prvi klubovi u Evropi i uz menjanje ekipa sada je u Turskoj gde nastupa za Galatasaraj.

1. Go where you’re wanted.
·When signing a contract, don’t go somewhere just b/c of the name/perception. Sign to a team that wants you for you!

·Also, reach out to the team’s current/former players. Ask questions! The most vital information comes from the players.

Uputio je i na to da se što pre mora štedeti novac bez obzira na zaradu od igranja košarke.

2. Start saving your money. ASAP!
·No matter how much money you’re making, have a financial plan. Put money away each month, no matter the amount. Let your savings build slowly over time.

Rekao je kako treba uživati u sadašnjosti i istraživati više mesto/ grad u kome igrate košarku.

3. Find beauty in the NOW.
·We all tend to put our focus on the future. Whether that’s our next game or our next contract. Shift all of your focus into the now, the present moment. If you do what you need to do in the “now”, then the “later” will figure itself out.

5. Always be professional.
·You’ll disagree with ppl you work with, however, no matter how tough your situation may get, be professional about it! Even if that means biting your tongue.

Rekao je i da treba verovati svom agentu a odluke donositi na osnosu razuma jer svi su tu jedni za druge. Na kraju je napisao kako treba zapamtiti zašto sve to radimo.

10. Remember why you’re doing this.
Your “job” is to play a sport you love, while traveling the world. Not saying it’s easy, but when you think about it, you’re living the dream that the younger you would be proud of. Your career won’t last forever, so make the most out of it!
